30 Days of 15th Century Eating
I wondered if herbs seemed more effective 'back in the day' because we didn't have the additives and preservatives in our bodies that we do today. So I challenged myself to 30 days of 15th century eating to see what impact it had on my body and mental health, as well as how my herbal preparations work on me as a result.

Day two…flaxbread
So this is day two. I've done a bit of shopping, I bought a cabbage yesterday, broad beans and peas.
Day three…yeast
I’m using a little yeast, as eating gluten free bread without any rising agent…well I may as well go and get a slab of concrete from outside
Day four…less ‘fizz’ going on in my body
Less ‘fizz’ going on in my body, less noise going on in my head.
Day six…no indigestion
I’ve just noticed that I’ve not had indigestion since I’ve been eating this way.
Day twelve…Not needing breakfast
I’m noticing that the food that I’m eating carries me through
Day thirteen…Those old demons
There’s something to be said for eating set meals, I’m learning that
Day fourteen…Vervain
I definitely feel better, nothing funny like in the 60’s or anything like that,
Day fifteen…Oomph and zing
I’m wondering what I’m going to do when this thirty days ends, because I don’t want to go back to eating the way I did.
