Day nine…Drop scones
It’s half past five on day nine. I tried experimenting today with gluten free oats and ground them up to make a flour which I combined with a bit of ginger, an egg, little bit of butter and beat it up to a thick paste and made a sort of drop scones, cooked them up and have just eaten them up with a bit of honey. Tasted a bit like pancakes, really pleased with them. I’m very full, everything I eat seems to be very fulfilling. I didn’t put any milk in them, but I might do another time. I’ve got chicken and peas, cabbage and broad beans tonight.
I’ve found a flour that would have been around then, that I can have now and it was so simple to make, I simply popped the oats in the blender, so happy days! It’s not that I’ll make these very often, and I could do a savoury version and cook them in the oven, but it does give me a bit more scope.
I bought some cherries today - bit of a treat day!
