Day fifteen…Oomph and zing

I had to go into work today, was a good morning, I took a packed lunch in with me and put a hard boiled egg in with it, but brought it back as I wasn’t hungry with everything else I’d eaten. I had my bread, bit of cheese, parsley (which went really nice with it) and a plum. The plum was a little bit sour, but I stuck with it and it actually gave me my first bit of indigestion in fifteen days. But it didn’t stick around, I didn’t get that horrible yuckiness at the back of my throat with it, I was more aware ‘oh wow, I have indigestion’ but it didn’t hang around, it wasn’t an all-dayer, so definitely an improvement. 

I’ve got a lot more ‘oomph’ about me too. When I got home I went straight out again into town and was running around there. Other times I’d have got back home, watched telly, picked up a book, just pottered, but now I have ‘Zing!’. I’ve just completed an exercise routine on my step, so I’m feeling really, really good. 

I’ve not snacked on anything today, just doing dinner now, beef, broad beans, peas, mashed turnip and cabbage. It’s proper comfort food for a cold, wintery night. 

Already I’m wondering what I’m going to do when this thirty days ends, because I don’t want to go back to eating the way I did.
