Day six…no indigestion

It’s dinner time of day 6. I have a plate of peas, beans, and white fish simply seasoned with salt and butter. I had a cheese sandwich with the flaxbread when I got back from work and it tasted so good. I’m really loving my food at the moment! For lunch I took in what I had for dinner last night, beef cooked with seasoning, a dash of red wine, with cabbage and leeks and onions. But I was peckish when I left work, the bread tends to fill me up for longer. Going to have a glass of red wine tonight and watch a bit of telly.

So, it’s evening now, nearly 9pm and I’ve just noticed that I’ve not had indigestion since I’ve been eating this way. Normally I’d have indigestion every day, or every other day and I’d be drinking milk (soya) or marshmallow root for it, and I’ve not had to, not once in these past six days.

I’ve had a couple of glasses wine and usually, after the first glass I’d be looking for food to snack on, but I’ve not been tempted at all tonight, which for me is a huge breakthrough. I’m not even at the end of the first week and am already noticing positive differences. I guess it’s not going to be this plain sailing all the time as otherwise people would all be eating this way all their lives wouldn’t they, it’d be crazy not to, but for me right now, this is working and I only expect to see improvement.

A colleague of mine said that that in Africa God is calling His people to turn away from processed food and to go back to the earth, to eat natural food more, and I can really see the logic in that - when you are looking after your temple and with the modern day diet we’re really not doing that!
