Day twenty…Porridge is a winner dinner
I had a really good day today, for breakfast I had toast and honey. For lunch I last night left-overs, turnip, beef, onion, pea and broadbeans. Because I had a big lunch I only really fancied porridge when I got home, so I had the most delicious porridge with a bit of salt, I didn’t put all milk in, just a third milk to two thirds water, and I put in a spoonful of honey, and it was like eating savoury and sweet popcorn.
I devoured it, and could have easily eaten it again it was that good, but I didn’t. Once upon a time I would have had the second bowl, as soon as I’d have had the thought I would have had to follow through.
My mood is still really good. I had vervain this morning, and I’m feeling so good on this, having a herbal preparation every day, may try wood betony tomorrow. Twenty days isn’t going to detox me after a life time of junk food, nor will thirty days, but it’s a start. There’s no way I can go back to eating what I was.
So porridge is a winner. A winner dinner.
